Hospice of St Francis

We love to get involved in our local community here in Berkhamsted, particularly when that means helping a local cause close to our hearts.  We are very pleased therefore to be able to help the Hospice of St Francis as a corporate supporter.

The Hospice of St Francis is a charity that provides professional support and care for people with life shortening illnesses.  They bring peace, comfort and dignity to people and help them live life to the full, for whatever time is left.  Their facility on the edge of Berkhamsted is fantastic but obviously needs significant resources to run.  The Hospice doesn’t charge for any of the services it offers so it relies on the generosity of the local community for 80% of its income.  As well as relying on the support of corporate partners income is raised by individual fundraising initiatives, trusts, schools, community groups, shops, the lottery and gifts in wills.  As a registered charity the remaining 20% is of funding comes from the NHS.
