Design Process
The Boffins are able to design you a new website from scratch or re-design your current one. Our designs are derived from your input and our expert know-how. We believe that the key to achieving the best possible solution is to understand your requirements and to keep you continuously involved in the development process.
Each design starts life from a clean slate so that we are not limited by having to fit in with a standard template. We offer you the chance to really get involved in your project and actively seek out your feedback on the initial sketches, information design, screen layouts and working prototypes.

Content Creation
The right content is a must for any successful website. You need the right text to involve your audience and to help you drive search traffic. We have experienced copy editors available who can help you get the words right. As well as text you will require high quality images which may be a combination of photographs, icons and graphics.
You may already have existing content or marketing material that we can use, alternatively we can assist you in creating everything from scratch. As well as providing our own in-house services we work with several highly rated photographers who can add sparkle to your pages.
Search Engine Optimisation and Analytics
One aim for every website owner is to have their site listed as high as possible in the search engines' results. We believe that expensive optimisation services don't offer much over good design principals coupled with a well implemented search strategy. Our 15 point plan will get your site off to the best possible start and we can help you further tune your site as time goes by.
Embedding analytic code into the site and interpreting it correctly can ensure that your marketing campaigns are cost effective and hitting your target groups. Knowing when your ad-words are working and leading to real sales is something every serious site owner should know. We will help you to understand these statistics and use them to make best use of your advertising spend.
Technical Services
CMS Customisation and Modules
Our preferred content management solution is Drupal because of its architecture, customisation and extensible modules. We will tailor the content management system to your needs, lowering the complexity of the interface for you and making sure you are able to edit the parts of the site you need to.
To meet your full requirements we can either source existing modules or if you need something more than is supplied 'out of the box' we can create custom modules to meet your specific business needs.
Data Migration and Integration
We have worked with the major databases on the market including Oracle, SQL server and mySQL.
If you are moving your existing website platform into a new system we can help you with the migration, retaining what you want to keep and minimising the work needed to get the new site ready for launch.
If you have back office data you want to share with business partners or the public we can assist you by integrating that data into your website. We are happy to work with web services, business process tools and integration servers.
Ongoing Services
Hosting and Support
We can offer hosting on either shared or dedicated servers depending on the size of your website. Alternatively we are happy to liase with your current hosting providers or internal IT department to get your new website live.
Wherever you decide to host your website we will ensure that the changeover process is as pain free as possible and if your site is moving domains then we will endeavour to make sure that your hard earned search ranking is maintained.
We are happy to register domain names for you and purchase and install security certificates if these are required.
Once your website is up and running we offer various support services on either a regular or ad-hoc basis. These include:
- Minor alterations or modifications to your site
- Ongoing search optimisation and site analytics
- Broken link checking
- Backups and restores of your content management system
- Security updates to your site
